What we handle
- Arraigo in its five routes: social, sociolaboral, socioformativo, familiar and second chance. It is the most common procedure and the one that depends most on the padrón being right from the start.
- Residency renewals, including those filed with the card already expired.
- Family reunification, with the housing report and the income calculation against the IPREM.
- TIE: application, fingerprint appointment and collection.
- NIE for those who are not yet resident.
- Digital nomad visa and other permits under Law 14/2013.
How a file works in the province of Valencia
- We review the padrón and the dates. In arraigo, time in Spain is almost always proved with the historical padrón, issued by your town hall. If there are gaps, other evidence is found before filing, not after.
- We gather what takes longest. Criminal record certificates from your home country and documents that need an apostille. This sets the real timetable, far more than the appointment does.
- We file online with a professional certificate. No immigration appointment is needed to file, which is where most people get stuck.
- We track the file in the status service and tell you about every change.
- Decision and TIE. With a favourable decision, the fingerprint appointment is booked with the Policía Nacional. That appointment and the collection are in person.
Step 3 is the biggest practical difference. The immigration appointment is the bottleneck in this province, and filing with a professional certificate avoids it entirely.
You do not need to come to the office
Most of the work is done online, with a digital certificate or a power of representation, so where the client lives does not limit the service. There are two routes and both are routine:
- Digital certificate: you sign from wherever you are, and we prepare and file the application.
- Power of representation or electronic authorisation: we act on your behalf using the professional certificate of a registered gestora.
The exception is strictly personal acts, which nobody can do for you: proving your identity to obtain the digital certificate, giving fingerprints for the TIE, and taking the oath in a citizenship file. Those must be done in person, and always in the province where you are registered.
What to bring to the first consultation
The first consultation is free and is for choosing the route, not for signing anything. To make it useful, have three things to hand: your current situation (nationality, how long you have been in Spain, which document you hold even if expired), what you want to achieve, and whether a deadline is running, such as an expiring card or a request with a time limit. With that we can usually say in the first reply which route applies and which documents to start requesting.
Shall we handle it for you?
Registered gestora administrativa, ICGA Valencia. Fixed quote before we start and a free first consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an immigration appointment?
Not to file with us. We file online with the professional certificate of a registered gestora. An in-person appointment is only needed for TIE fingerprints, once the decision is favourable.
I am registered in a village in the province, not in the city. Does anything change?
The file is still decided by the Valencia immigration office. What changes is the town hall where you request the historical padrón and the registration certificate.
How long does arraigo take in Valencia?
The legal deadline is three months from a complete filing. The real time depends on the office's workload and on whether documents are requested, which is what lengthens files most.
My card has already expired. Am I too late?
Not necessarily. Renewal can be filed within ninety days after expiry, and outside that window there are alternative routes. It is worth checking as soon as possible.
Do you take cases that were already refused?
Yes. The first step is reading the decision and the appeal deadlines, because the margin is usually short and shapes the whole strategy.
